The Janome CoverPro 3000 Professional is the most capable home coverstitch machine available, combining everything you'd expect from a dedicated coverstitcher with a built-in top cover stitch function that previously required a separate industrial-style machine.
The standout feature is the integrated top cover stitch guide and spreader. One finger push drops it into position, producing that double-sided lattice finish found on athletic and activewear brands — the same seam construction used in leggings, yoga wear, and technical garments. When finished, press the lever and it retracts out of the way. No attachments, no setup steps.
Stitch options cover the full range of professional coverstitch work: triple top cover stitch, 2-needle wide and narrow top cover stitch, triple cover stitch, double cover stitch in both 6mm and 3mm widths, and a single chain stitch. Stitch length adjusts from 1 to 4mm, and the differential feed ratio runs from 0.5 to 2.25, giving you control over everything from fine jersey and lycra to denim, fleece, and woolens without changing machines.
The enhanced Tension Level Control (TLC) with Fine Mode switching lets you dial tension precisely for delicate knits or heavier fabrics with a simple lever flip rather than manual adjustment per thread. The ball-bearing driven motor shaft runs smoothly and quietly up to 1,000 stitches per minute, handling fabric weight changes without hesitation.
Threading three needles is handled by a built-in 3-position needle threader — select R, M, or L, push the lever, and you're done. The free arm configuration lets you work pant legs, sleeves, necklines, and any tubular project with full access, and presser feet swap without a screwdriver.
